Throughout this one-hour process you remain the expert in your experiences. I will often integrate Mindfulness, Somatic Techniques, Gestalt Awareness Practices and Zero Balancing in our coaching sessions for the best and most powerful outcome for you.

Gestalt Awareness
The focus of Gestalt Awareness Practice (GAP) is on bringing awareness to what is stirring inside. I am a reflector and a teacher - not a therapist. My function is to support, reflect and facilitate contact with whatever feelings, emotions or memories arise for you during your session. The process is aimed at inquiry rather than problem solving. The emphasis is intra-personal, rather than inter-personal – which centers on your relationship to your own experience. I gently provide an area for you to give time, space, movement, voice and breath to experiences and parts of yourself that may have been shut down or put on hold. By learning to turn towards these moments, we learn a basic friendliness toward ourselves and toward life.

Zero Balancing
I begin this one-hour session with a short discussion to determine your current state of health and clarify your treatment goals. Through this conversation, I learn how you would like to feel at the end of the 30-40 minute hands-on portion of this treatment. Fully clothed, lying face up on a massage table, I will assess your body for bone-held tension. The bones and joints are the deepest tissue in the body, and it is here that we tend to hold our innermost physical and emotional stresses. Using a light, therapeutic skilled touch and gentle pressure, I help facilitate the movement of limiting and uncomfortable patterns held in these areas, thereby releasing your own energy back to you. Research studies have confirmed an average stress reduction of 61% during a 30-minute Zero Balancing session versus a 12% stress reduction for clients during an equivalent rest period.
